I’m Andrew, the proud owner of Family Voices Media.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
As a veteran in the television and film business, I have decades of experience in high-quality production. I’ve edited and produced several films for the big screen during my career. To offer this same level of production excellence on a local level to families that want to showcase their own stories and immortalize their beautiful memories, I decided to launch my own production business.
Around seven years ago, I established Family Voices Media, a video biography production company, while simultaneously working on TV. The business has been doing exceptional in the last few years as I’ve grown in popularity and expanded our services. At first, we only produced the full ninety-minute video, covering people’s stories from childhood through the present. Since then, we have introduced shorter biographies that deal with more specific topics, and these have been a real hit with our clients.
I love making video biographies as it always gladdens me to hear from family members who were touched by a biography video we made and hear them say, “you really captured him” or “it’s like I just had a conversation with her.” Being able to enhance family ties through video is a unique quality, and I’m glad to possess it.
Another significant part about my job is that the engagement with my client’s family is fairly intense. I see a lot of photos, design family trees for them, and wind up knowing a lot about their family in a short duration. Sometimes, even more than they do. It’s almost like I’ve become a long lost second cousin! Being a part of my clients’ families, also if it’s only for a few days, is a real treat as I learn so many endearing things about them and the character of their family.
Telling family stories is an ancient tradition, but given that we can now make videos of these stories, in the future, our grandchildren will be able to watch them an learn about their ancestry. To keep future generations aware of their roots and heritage, past life needs to be turned into a story that can be watched. It needs to be exciting and dramatic, and video presentations can help achieve this.
To deliver high-quality content, besides using top of the line equipment, the final video also needs to stay true to the subject’s wishes. That way, it can be factually accurate and fun for the whole family to watch.
My television background has given me both technical and creative knowledge to make biography videos beautiful and informative. This gives this the tools I need to deliver quality that my clients will love and appreciate.
It’s tremendously satisfying to have a client call me after a family viewing of the biography video we’ve created and hear them say, “Wow! I’m so glad I did this! Thank you.” Their positive feedback serves as encouragement to my team and me and motivates us to keep doing what we do with more vigor and enthusiasm.
When I’m not producing videos and films, I love indulging in a little photography or learning about new image and video software and how to make the most of them. I feel that the more I know about the technical side of my work, the better I can focus on my creative side, and this will give my business an edge over other biography video producers.
